Hello! My name is Sophia and nice to see you here! I grew up in Singapore, a small but lively country here in Southeast Asia. In the past year, I decided to make a move and am currently staying in Thailand. It has been quite a change, but I am enjoying this adventure thus far!
With more than 15 years of work experience in the travel and sports media industry, I now help individuals and businesses as an independent management consultant. What I enjoy most is being able to help people build great relationships with one another, so that everyone feels happy and work well together.
I spent most of my twenties working as a flight attendant, which gave me a deep understanding of the travel and hospitality industry. After I stopped flying, I decided to move into the corporate world and started by doing administrative and front desk roles. Little did I realised that all of these work experiences would then set me up for one of my greatest career pivots - when the head of a sports media company saw my potential and offered me a role as a travel coordinator. This opportunity then opened many doors for me, which has allowed me to develop expertise in various roles such as event coordination, athlete relations, project management, etc. Each new role taught me something valuable and helped shape my career path to where it is today.
Throughout the years, I have always been a firm believer in lifelong learning. Currently, I am expanding my skill set by learning to code Responsive and React websites through SheCodes. Additionally, I am also learning about corporate finance through a course endorsed by the Corporate Finance Institute (CFI) via LinkedIn Learning.
As a freelance management consultant, my focus is on continually broadening my knowledge and acquiring new skills. I am driven by the desire to better assist future clients in solving their unique challenges. My diverse background, coupled with my ongoing learning journey, allows me to bring a fresh perspective to each project I undertake.
